FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Final: 4 Players to Watch Out for in PSG vs Chelsea Clash

FIFA Club World Cup 2025: The stage is set for a blockbuster finale as Paris Saint-Germain take on Chelsea in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final this Sunday in New York. Both clubs have enjoyed dominant campaigns, brushing aside elite opposition to earn their place in the summit clash of the expanded 32-team tournament.

While PSG come into the final as reigning UEFA Champions League winners and overwhelming favourites, Chelsea have shown grit, flair, and tactical flexibility under manager Luis Enrique.

FIFA Club World Cup 2025

As the footballing world gears up for a clash of European titans, four standout performers are likely to play pivotal roles in deciding who lifts the trophy.

João Pedro (Chelsea)

The 23-year-old Brazilian forward has hit the ground running since joining Chelsea from Brighton. After scoring seven goals in his last nine starts in all competitions, Pedro marked his full debut for the Blues with a brace in the semifinal win over Fluminense-his boyhood club. Another brace on Sunday would make him the first player since Gabriel Martinelli in 2019 to score two or more goals in each of his first two starts for a Premier League club. Clinical and instinctive in front of goal, Pedro could prove to be Chelsea's X-factor.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea)

Chelsea's creative dynamo has been one of the tournament's most effective playmakers. Only two players have created more chances from open play than Palmer (nine), and in the semifinal, the England international laid on three key passes while completing all 27 of his attempted passes. He became just the second player in this Club World Cup to create 3+ chances with 100% passing accuracy (20+ passes), after Rayan Aït-Nouri. His vision and technique will be crucial in unlocking PSG's high-tempo press.

Ousmane Dembélé (PSG)

The French winger has been in sensational form throughout 2025, racking up 27 goals and nine assists across competitions-more than any other player in Europe's top five leagues. Dembélé's goal and assist in the 4-0 semifinal demolition of Real Madrid underlined his status as PSG's most explosive attacking threat. If Chelsea are to keep the Parisians at bay, containing Dembélé will be priority number one.

Vitinha (PSG)

Often overlooked amid PSG's attacking firepower, Portuguese midfielder Vitinha has been quietly commanding. He has completed 100 or more passes in five separate matches during the tournament-an extraordinary feat. His ability to dictate the tempo, recycle possession, and control midfield battles could prove vital against Chelsea's pressing game.

With world-class talent on display and the stakes at their highest, the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final promises a footballing spectacle like no other.
