Currently, 42 teams have qualified, with six more from March 2026 playoffs involving teams like Bolivia and Congo. Pot 1 includes the three hosts plus the top nine ranked teams; Pots 2-4 follow rankings, covering UEFA (16 slots), CONMEBOL (6+1), AFC (8+1), CAF (9+1), CONCACAF (8 total, hosts excluded), and OFC (1+1).​
