Bengaluru, December 2: Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has ordered his worldwide scouting network to find him a 'magician’.
The Manchester United boss reckons that his team’s lack of creativity as the reason behind the eight-point gap with Premier League leaders Manchester City. He desperately wants to bring more creativity to his side.
Mourinho also wants to outdo his rival Pep Guardiola, something the Portuguese has been unable to do. He, however, believes that a magician can help his side close in on the high-flying Cityzens.
The Portuguese already knows his top target, Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid, is out of reach, while even United’s financial muscle cannot match the £198million Paris Saint-Germain splashed on Neymar.
The former Real Madrid manager has already spent over £300million since taking charge of the side, but is still unable to find the right chemistry.
The owners are not willing to back the manager financially if they do not get good results, which is why Mourinho wants relatively unknown players who can set the Premier League on fire.
Despite trailing Manchester City, the Red Devils are having a pretty good season.
They are in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, virtually through to the knockout stages in the Champions League and second in the Premier League by some distance.
