Bengaluru, June 7: The 2022-23 edition of the Europa Conference League will come to an end this midweek when West Ham United and Fiorentina lock horns in an exciting game of football.

Both sides will be eager to register a victory as this will be their only key to playing in the Champions League while also claiming another trophy. The Europa Conference League has been a welcome distraction from Premier League woes for the Hammers this season who finished 14th in the league table.

But with their fine run in UEFA's third-tier competition points, they have a chance to sign off for the summer break on a high and win their first major trophy in 43 years.

Fiorentina ended the Serie A campaign in flying form to finish eighth however without any European birth. They are on the hunt for their first trophy in 22 years and the Conference final will be their second cup final of a busy year after losing to Inter in the Coppa Italia last month.

It may turn out to be an exciting game from a tactical standpoint because both clubs are vying for a huge victory in their respective contemporary histories.

Date, kick-off time: The Europa Conference League final is scheduled for a 12.30 am IST kick-off on Thursday, June 8, 2023.

Venue: The match will take place at the Eden Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. It is the home venue of SK Slavia Prague and sometimes the Czech Republic national football team.

It will be the first major European final to be held in the Czech Republic. Though the same venue hosted the 2013 UEFA Super Cup match between Chelsea and Bayern Munich, which the Bundesliga team won on penalties.

The capacity of the stadium is believed to be around 19,370. However, there are rumors that there will be more than 20,000 West Ham fans in Prague, Czech Republic, despite the club receiving only 4,890 tickets.
