Kolkata, Oct 23: Delhi Dynamos' marquee player and former French international Florent Malouda said that he still cannot forget the magic created by former teammate Zinedine Zidane.

And after his training session on Friday in Kolkata for Delhi Dynamos match against Athletico De Kolkata (ATK), the 36-year old striker was obviously the center of attraction.

He was asked about his experience of playing with Zidane. And Malouda seemed not to have been able to come out of the hallucination.

He said, “I was very happy to have Zidane in 2006 World Cup. And it was simply a mesmerizing experience to watch him in the training every day during that period.

"I was completely stunned to have seen his amazing ball control, peripheral vision as well as flawless skill to send long passes. In the dressing room, we sometimes discussed on the game.

"Listening words from Zidane it seemed football was such an easy game to play! He is the best I have ever seen in my football career."

Malouda has also played against both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. When asked about the comparison between the two great footballers of the present time, Malouda opined his favourite is Ronaldo.

He clarified: “It is true that there should not be any comparison between two greats. But I was fascinated to have watched Ronaldo.

"He is a complete footballer from all technical aspects. Messi also looks out of the world when he moves with the ball, dribbling past defenders. But I feel Ronaldo is ahead of him in the air and powerful punches."

Malouda still laments for the World Cup final loss to Italy in 2006. Interestingly, Gianluca Zambrotta played with champion Italy side on that particular day.

Malouda smilingly said, “I still regret not being able to clinch the World Cup. But this is football, nothing to do."
