Former AIFF vice president Kapoor dies
Chandigarh, Mar 8 (UNI) Former All India Football Federation Vice President K Kapoor, who was suffering from prolonged illness died today at his residence in Gurgaon in Haryana.
Mr Inder Singh, secretary, Punjab Football Association, of which Kapoor was a former secretary, said Kapoor had served Punjab Football Association from April, 1981 to October 7, 1992.
He also served as Executive Member, Vice President of the AIFF and was Chairman of its Selection Committee for the 1986 Asian Games.
All the members of Punjab Football Association, Chandigarh Football Association and JCT Football Club, Phagwara have expressed profound grief on passing away of Kapoor.
While paying tributes to Kapoor, the Chandigarh Football Association president Ravinder Talwar and secretary Rakesh Bakshi described him as ''an able administrator'' and ''thorough gentleman''.
