Former Chennaiyin FC footballer Sachu Siby has joined a European club on loan from Inter Kashi.
The 23-year-old defender has been roped in by Inter Club d'Escaldes, a club based in Andorra, on a season-long loan.

Inter Club d'Escaldes currently competes in Primera Divisio, the top professional football league in Andorra. In the 2023-24 season, the club secured second place in the league. Andorra is a very small country situated along the border of Spain and England. The tiny country only has a population of 79,284 people (as per 2022 census).
Sachu Siby, hailing from Kumily in Idukki district, now plays for Inter Kashi in the I-League. Primarily a left full-back, Sachu will join Inter Club d'Escaldes with a salary of Rs 8 lakh.
A member of Kerala's 2022 Santhosh Trophy squad, Sachu played five matches for Chennaiyin FC during ISL 2023-24. He played against the likes of East Bengal, FC Goa last season in the ISL and his final appearance for the Marina Machans came with a Red Card against the Gaurs.
The 23-year-old moved to Inter Kashi last month on a three-year contract. And now the I-League club has loaned him out to Andorra to gain first-team experience and develop his skills.
Sachu's move to Europe marks a significant step in his career. Although Inter Club D'Escalades is situated in Andorra, a lower-tier nation in Europe, the club has done well domestically. It is to be seen how Siby adapts to his new conditions and performs far away from the country in European Football, albeit in Andorra.
