Ansumana Kromah, a former player for East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, has been admitted to the hospital after he suffered a brain stroke last Thursday.

As per reports, Kromah's condition is now more stable than before but one side of his body has become paralyzed. Doctors are closely monitoring his progress but when asked about it, they said that they are uncertain about when he will be able to return to playing football.

Former footballer Debjit Ghosh talked about the incident and told Ei Samay Digital "Kromah is doing better than before. It will obviously take him a little time to get better because he's had a brain stroke. However, the right side of his brain was affected, so the risk is comparatively less. For now, he's staying under the observation of the doctors. We hope he will get well soon."

Kromah, who is a familiar face in the Kolkata football circuit, has played for several clubs in the city, including the biggest clubs East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. He even played for Churchill Brothers for a few seasons. Very recently, he has been playing for the I-League team, Neroca FC.

The news of Kromah's sudden illness has left the Kolkata football community concerned and worried. Many fans and fellow players have expressed their support and wished for his speedy recovery. As Kromah continues to receive treatment, the football community in Kolkata and beyond is keeping a close eye on his progress.

Many footballers who admire him and who even played with him have extended their helping hands. The hope is that with proper medical care and support, the young striker will be able to make a full recovery and resume his football career.
