Former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder Jesse Lingard is reportedly under investigation by police in Seoul following a social media post.
The England international, who recently made a surprising move to South Korea, is being investigated for allegedly riding an electric scooter without a license. Lingard, who has 32 caps for England, joined FC Seoul after leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer.

Following a challenging start in the K-League, where he has scored four goals in 18 appearances, the 31-year-old seems to have regained some form, netting twice in his last three matches. Despite his recent upturn on the pitch, Lingard now finds himself in hot water off the field.
According to Korean news outlet YTN, Gangnam Police have launched a 'pre-indictment investigation' into Lingard after a video surfaced of him riding an electric scooter in the Apgujeong-dong district of Seoul.
The clip, initially uploaded to Snapchat and later deleted, allegedly shows Lingard operating the scooter without a license, which prompted authorities to open an investigation into the incident.
Although the details of the case are still emerging, Lingard has yet to comment publicly on the investigation. Before this, the former Premier League star had broken a 15-month social media silence to share his enjoyment of life in South Korea, stating, "Back on X, Korea is amazing. Enjoying my football and in a happy place."
Lingard's move to South Korea after his release from Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022/23 season. After a disappointing spell at Forest, where he failed to register a goal or an assist in 17 appearances, the midfielder surprisingly opted for Asia despite offers from clubs across Europe.
