London, March 9: Former Chelsea legend and West Ham ace Joe Cole has revealed his ambitions of becoming a Premier League manager and stated his desire to manage his former clubs one day.

The 36-year-old English man is still enjoying his playing days as he currently plays for a second division American team, Tampa Bay Rowdies. But the player now in a recent interview with FourFourTwo has shared a dream of his.

The player has suggested that alongside playing in the USA the player is already weighing up his move for future and presently has started working on his coaching badge with a hope of becoming a manager, with his ultimate aim being to become the boss at his former club, Chelsea or West Ham.

He told FourFourTwo: “My long-term plans are to coach or manage - I am doing my A License and really enjoying that side of things.

“Your body tells you how long to play on for. Last year I had a good season, played very well and the club offered me another contract.

“The old pros tell you to play on for as long as you possibly can because you are a long time retired.

“So I will keep going for as long as my body is up for it.”

While questing about managing his former clubs Chelsea and West Ham, the player went on saying: “They would be dream jobs for a lot of people, but I’ve got plenty of steps to take before I get anywhere near that level.

“I’m gaining experience and don’t know where I’ll end up just yet.

“There are hundreds of roles within a football club, from the director of football down to academy roles.

“But for every player, if you love football, you’d love to be a manager of England, Chelsea or West Ham.”

Cole was a household name of English football during the 2000's when he came up through the ranks with the Hammers and was touted as one of the promising players in the league.

Seeing his potential, then Cash-riched powerhouse Chelsea did not hesitate to land the talent and the playmaker moved onto Chelsea in 2003 following West Ham's relegation from the Premier League.

The Playmaker quickly cemented his place in the Blues set-up and established himself as a star player under Jose Mourinho. The player spent seven seasons with them and won three Premier League titles, three fa Cups and two League cups. He was also given the Chelsea player of the year award for 2008.

He played over 280 matches for the Blues scoring 39 times and assisting 42.

In 2010, he eventually left on a free transfer and joined rivals Liverpool but since then he never went on to enjoy the fortune that he had at Stamford Bridge.
