France secured a second consecutive Nations League victory by defeating Israel 4-1 in Hungary. Christopher Nkunku and Bradley Barcola were among the scorers. The match took place at Budapest's Bozsik Arena, where France started strong. In the sixth minute, Eduardo Camavinga's shot slipped past Israel's goalkeeper Omri Glazer. Israel equalised midway through the first half when Omri Gandelman headed in Oscar Gloukh's cross.
However, Israel's joy was short-lived as Chelsea's Nkunku quickly restored France's lead. He skilfully flicked the ball through Ilay Feingold’s legs and finished with precision into the far corner. Randal Kolo Muani came close to increasing France's advantage twice before Matteo Guendouzi extended their lead in the 87th minute with a composed finish beyond Glazer.

Two minutes later, Guendouzi found himself in a similar position but opted to assist Barcola, who curled the ball into the net. This result places France on six points in Group A2, just one point behind Italy, who defeated them earlier. France will face Belgium next on Monday.
With Kylian Mbappe sidelined due to injury and Antoine Griezmann retired from international duty, Didier Deschamps introduced a fresh attacking lineup featuring Nkunku, Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembele, and Michael Olise. This new combination proved effective as France dominated possession with 33 touches inside Israel’s penalty area compared to their opponents' five.
France also outshot Israel significantly with 15 attempts against just one from their rivals. Kolo Muani stood out despite not scoring; he created four chances—double that of any other player on the field. Theo Hernandez contributed two assists during this commanding display.
The match highlighted France's depth and adaptability in attack despite missing key players like Mbappe and Griezmann. Their performance against Israel demonstrated their potential to compete at high levels even with changes in personnel. As they prepare for their upcoming clash with Belgium, confidence remains high within Deschamps' squad following these back-to-back victories.
