Tottenham Hotspur's chairman, Daniel Levy, has expressed his expectations for Thomas Frank to secure a Premier League title soon. Despite the club's recent Europa League triumph ending a 17-year trophy drought, Levy decided to replace Ange Postecoglou with Frank after finishing 17th in the league. Frank took charge before the pre-season, where Spurs remained unbeaten in five matches, including two wins and three draws.
For the 2025-26 season, Tottenham has bolstered their squad by acquiring Joao Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus, and Luka Vuskovic. Additionally, they secured Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso on permanent deals after their loan spells. This strategic strengthening aims to enhance their competitive edge in upcoming campaigns.

During pre-season, Frank led Spurs to a morale-boosting victory over Arsenal in Hong Kong and a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United on Sunday. These performances have set a positive tone for the upcoming season under his leadership.
Levy clarified that there is no immediate pressure on Frank to deliver the league title this season but acknowledged that expectations might evolve. "Whenever you appoint a coach, you always believe it's right. You need a lot of ingredients for it to be right," Levy stated in an interview with The Overlap.
"Thomas is a highly intelligent individual, with a fantastic way about him in terms of communication. I think he will be great at both developing young players and older players and making them better," Levy added. He emphasized that Frank understands the club's desired style of play and the importance of patience in achieving success.
Levy highlighted Tottenham's history of reaching numerous semi-finals and finals without securing enough victories. He stressed the importance of using their recent Europa League success as motivation to continue winning more trophies.
"We haven't said to him that we want to win the Premier League this year. [We want to win the league] As soon as possible, but no pressure. We just want to compete at the highest level," Levy explained. The club aims to build on its achievements while striving for consistent success in future competitions.
