Marco Silva expressed satisfaction with Fulham's performance against Brentford, acknowledging they deserved their 2-1 victory. Despite Vitaly Janelt's goal in the 24th minute, which seemed to secure a win for Brentford, Harry Wilson emerged as Fulham's saviour. Coming off the bench, Wilson scored twice in stoppage time, ensuring Fulham claimed all three points.
Fulham dominated from the start, taking 26 shots with 12 on target. However, they struggled to break through Brentford's defence until the 92nd minute. Wilson's goals were significant; he became only the sixth player in Premier League history to score both an equaliser and a winner after the 90th minute. His second goal was Fulham's latest-ever Premier League winner at 96:46.

Silva praised his team's determination to secure a win in the final moments. "It was definitely a deserved win. We started on the front foot and dominated all the game," Silva told BBC Sport. He noted that despite conceding first, Fulham maintained confidence and continued to press forward, creating enough chances not to be trailing at halftime.
Brentford has now dropped a league-high 14 points from winning positions this season. They have lost five consecutive away matches in the Premier League. Remarkably, they are the first team in league history to score first in four straight away games and lose each one.
Their defence held firm until late lapses allowed Fulham to capitalise. Brentford even had an opportunity to clinch victory when Fabio Carvalho's shot was saved by Bernd Leno in the 95th minute. Thomas Frank admitted it was difficult to find positives immediately after such a disappointing loss.
"It was tough. It is emotionally very tough right now," Frank told Sky Sports. He acknowledged that while Fulham outperformed them on the day, Brentford displayed commendable defensive effort and commitment.
Frank believed that with better execution on Carvalho's chance, they could have secured a win instead of suffering defeat. "When we look at the game back, and we are more cool-headed, we will probably be very happy with the defensive standard," he said.
Despite their defensive resilience with impressive blocks and recovery runs, Frank admitted Brentford lacked sufficient quality on the ball throughout the match.
This match highlighted Fulham's persistence and ability to seize opportunities late in games while exposing Brentford's vulnerability when leading away from home.
