Fulham have confirmed the acquisition of Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal for a club-record fee of £34 million. The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract, with an option to extend for another year. The deal is initially worth £27 million, with an additional £7 million in potential add-ons.
Smith Rowe joined Arsenal's academy at the age of 10 and progressed through the ranks before making his first-team debut in 2018. He established himself in the squad by 2020, making 115 appearances across all competitions and scoring 18 goals. However, he struggled with fitness issues and eventually fell down the pecking order at the club.

"I'm finally here, so I'm really happy for me and my family—it's a good moment," Smith Rowe told FFCtv. "I'm really excited; I just wanted to get here as quickly as possible so I could get going with my teammates."
Smith Rowe arrives at Craven Cottage following a frustrating season where he made only three starts in the Premier League, playing just 347 minutes. Despite these challenges, he remains optimistic about his future at Fulham.
Smith Rowe is Fulham's second signing of the transfer window, following Ryan Sessegnon's return to the club. The Cottagers are also interested in acquiring Scott McTominay from Manchester United.
"Listening to the project, speaking to the manager, and seeing what players we have here already, I think it's an exciting project for me and definitely the perfect step for my career going forward," Smith Rowe added.

This move marks a significant step for both Smith Rowe and Fulham as they look forward to strengthening their squad for upcoming challenges.
