Germany has announced their provisional squad for Euro 2024 on Thursday (May 16).
The squad announcement from the Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann has already created a buzz as it has numerous high-profile omissions.

Mats Hummels is one of the big names left out despite helping Borussia Dortmund to the Champions League Final, while Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka has found no place. Julian Brandt, Niklas Sule and Karim Adeyemi also miss out on a place for Die Mannschaft.
Timo Werner and Serge Gnabry - two of Germany's potent forwards won't play any part of the prestigious tournament on home soil due to injuries.
Aleksandar Pavlovic missed the March friendlies due to injury but has been included in the squad. Another surprise has been the inclusion of a fourth goalkeeper in the squad as Stuttgart's Alexander Nubel has got a call-up.
Arsenal's in-form attacker Kai Havertz is included, so is Stuttgart's Deniz Undav, who scored 18 goals in Bundesliga this season.
The final 26-man squad must be submitted by June 7, which means at least one member of the provisional list will be left out.
