And Tuesday night's game is much more than a friendly for the Belgians as they haven't defeated Germany in their last-16 head-to-head encounters. Their last encounter was the 2012 Euro Qualifiers, which the Germans won 3-1.

Germany are unlikely to risk Nico Schlotterbeck for the game after the Borussia Dortmund defender was taken off against Peru with a thigh injury. Thilo Kehrer is in line to replace him. Kai Havertz has been reported sick as well and has been sent back home and is likely to pave the way for Mario Gotze to return to the starting line-up.

For Belgium, Jeremy Doku remains injured while Real Madrid start Thibaut Courtois is also unavailable after an adductor injury. Wolfsburg's Koen Casteels is likely to be the last line of defence.
