Germany will be locking horns against Ukraine in a friendly match on Monday (June 12). Die Mannschaft will be playing their first match since March and the Ukraine clash will be the start of their three friendly matches in June.
It promises to be an exciting encounter as the German side will be looking to come back from their last match defeat against Belgium, which they lost 2-3 in Koln. After a disappointing exit from the 2022 World Cup, the four-time World Cup champions are in a rebuilding phase and have included many youngsters.

Ukraine, on the other hand, is under the tutelage of new head coach Sergiy Rebrov, who took over recently. They have won two out of their last six matches and would be aiming to better their performances.
Germany will be without many superstars for the Ukraine match. Ilkay Gundogan and Robin Gosens, who took part in the UEFA Champions League final, won't take any part. The likes of Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze, Marco Reus are also not included in the squad.
Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, Niclas Fullkrug, Joshua Kimmich, Antonio Rudiger are among the players who will take part in the match.
For Ukraine, defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is ruled out with an injury. Chelsea youngster Mykhailo Mudryk is among the players who is tipped to start, whereas Vitaliy Mykolenko is also poised to play a part.
Germany Ukraine Head to Head record heavily tilts in favour of Germany. Out of 8 meetings, the Germans are unbeaten over the Ukrainians. Die Mannschaft have won 5 matches whereas 3 matches ended in a draw.
These two teams met in a UEFA Nations League Group match back in 2020. Germany won the match 3-1 as Leroy Sane scored a goal and Timo Werner scored a brace. Roman Yaremchuk scored the solitary goal for Ukraine in that match.
