Morgan Gibbs-White has expressed admiration for England's new manager, Thomas Tuchel. Despite initially being left out of the squad, Gibbs-White was called up to replace the injured Cole Palmer. He shared his excitement about joining the team, saying, "He phoned me up and said 'Are you still upset with me, or do you want to join us, and fancy training with us tomorrow?'"
Gibbs-White's performance this season has been impressive. The 25-year-old has scored five league goals and provided seven assists, contributing to Nottingham Forest's third-place position in the Premier League. His initial exclusion from the national team was disappointing for him, as he felt his club form warranted a call-up.

Despite his disappointment at first, Gibbs-White respected Tuchel's decision. "I was upset, a little bit disappointed," he admitted. However, he acknowledged the quality of players in England's squad and accepted the manager's choice. "I think I have done enough to get the call-up considering the club form that we are in," he told Tuchel.
Gibbs-White praised Tuchel's approach since taking over as England manager. "To be fair, [Tuchel] has been incredible," he said. He appreciated how Tuchel reached out to most players immediately after getting the job. "He is a really easy-going sort of guy," Gibbs-White noted.
The midfielder also highlighted Tuchel's clear communication during training sessions. On Monday, Tuchel outlined his expectations for the team in their first session together. Gibbs-White found this intensity reassuring and motivating. "That intensity to show that he is not just here for a jolly, he is here to win," he remarked.
Gibbs-White's inclusion in the squad marks a significant moment in his career. His performances at Nottingham Forest have not gone unnoticed, and now he looks forward to contributing on an international level under Tuchel's guidance.
