London, Feb 5: Liverpool great Graeme Souness believes Harry Kane is ready for a move to Real Madrid but the same can't be said for Dele Alli.
Spurs are expected to fight tooth and nail to keep their star man at the club as he continues to top Premier League scoring charts.
Real Madrid are expected to spend a fortune in the summer with their squad struggling to compete with Barcelona in La Liga.
A striker is set to be top of Los Blancos' wishlist as they look for a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema and there are not many better than Kane right now.
Zinedine Zidane's side have already been linked with a move for Kane and Souness believes Kane will be looking elsewhere if he doesn't start winning silverware soon.
He told the Sunday Times: "Kane’s ready for Real Madrid, but Dele Alli isn’t.
"I’ve seen a definite improvement in Kane since he came into Tottenham’s team, but not to the same extent in Alli.
"Kane will be waiting to see what moves Tottenham make this summer. It’s all very well playing at a new stadium, but players have different priorities.
"For the corporate fans, the car parking is great, the food superb and the wine chilled, but big players want to be paid the going rate and win trophies.
"He’ll be looking at the wages paid at Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City and, although he’ll never say it, know he’s better than players who are getting twice as much and winning medals.
"Ultimately, if he can’t tick those boxes at Tottenham, he will leave."
Kane has scored 31 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions this season after bagging 29 in 29 league matches last campaign.
