Real Sociedad have secured the services of Goncalo Guedes from Wolves. The Portuguese player joins the Spanish club for a fee of 3.5 million euros (4 million dollars). Guedes had been with Wolves since joining from Valencia before the 2022-23 season. During his time there, he was loaned to Benfica and later to Villarreal.
Guedes spent the entire 2024-25 season at Molineux, where he started in only 10 out of 29 Premier League matches. He managed to score two goals and provided four assists during that period. His first goal came after Vitor Pereira took charge as manager.

In response to Guedes' departure, Wolves have strengthened their attacking options. They have signed Jhon Arias and made Jorgen Strand Larsen's transfer from Celta Vigo permanent. Additionally, Fernando Lopez and David Moller Wolfe have joined the team during this transfer window.
Guedes initially joined Wolves with high expectations but found himself loaned back to Benfica midway through his first season. He began the subsequent season on loan at Benfica again before moving to Villarreal for the latter half of that campaign.
The forward's journey has seen him play across several clubs in different leagues. Now, he is set to bring his experience to LaLiga with Real Sociedad, aiming for a fresh start in Spain.
This move marks another chapter in Guedes' career as he looks to make an impact in Spanish football. His versatility and experience could prove valuable for Real Sociedad as they compete in LaLiga this season.
