Van Nistelrooy Highlights Hard Work And Team Spirit As Leicester City Seeks Revival

Ruud van Nistelrooy stresses that hard work and togetherness are essential for Leicester City to turn their poor form around. With only one win in nine matches, the team aims to improve against Fulham this Saturday.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has admitted that his initial period at Leicester City has been challenging. Since taking over from Steve Cooper in November, the team has suffered seven losses in nine Premier League games, securing only one victory. This poor run has left the Foxes in 19th place, and Van Nistelrooy emphasises the importance of team unity to escape relegation, starting with their match against Fulham on Saturday.

"From the first day I joined, I said it would go to the last day, this battle," Van Nistelrooy stated. "You have hopes that you can surprise and get results early, so in that sense, it's disappointing that didn't happen." He believes patience is necessary for the initial six weeks of collaboration with the club and stresses the need for belief in turning performances into points.

Leicester City Needs Team Spirit to Succeed

Marco Silva is looking for a reaction from Fulham after their 3-2 loss to West Ham ended an eight-match unbeaten streak. Despite this setback, Silva remains confident in his squad's ability to recover. "The Premier League is always really competitive," he said. "It doesn't matter who you're playing; you have to always reach certain standards and levels."

Silva acknowledged that small details led to some drawn matches during their unbeaten run. He noted that if those details had favoured them, they could have secured more wins. Reflecting on the West Ham game, Silva expressed determination: "It's up to us now to react. We can't change that game."

Jamie Vardy continues to be a crucial player for Leicester at 38 years old. He has scored six league goals this season, more than any other player in their squad, and seven across all competitions. Five of these goals were netted at King Power Stadium, including during their recent FA Cup win over Queens Park Rangers.

Raul Jimenez stands out as Fulham's top scorer with ten goals across all competitions this season. Eight of these goals have come in the Premier League. The Mexican striker has also scored four times in his last four appearances for Fulham.

Match Prediction: Fulham Favoured

Leicester City faces a tough challenge as they have lost six consecutive league matches and are currently two points away from safety in 19th place. They have failed to score in their last three home defeats against Crystal Palace, Manchester City, and Wolves.

The Foxes have managed just two wins out of eleven home league games this season (three draws and six losses), accumulating one of the lowest home point totals this season.

Team Win Probability (%)
Leicester City 27.5%
Draw 24.8%
Fulham 47.7%

The upcoming match against Fulham presents an opportunity for both teams to prove themselves on the field once again.
