Theo Hernandez's agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, has stated that the player plans to stay with Milan and extend his contract. Hernandez, who moved from Real Madrid to Milan in 2019, has made 231 appearances for the club, scoring 31 goals and providing 41 assists. Despite these contributions, he has faced challenges under new coach Paulo Fonseca.
This season, Hernandez has started in 10 out of the 12 Serie A matches he played. However, his form has been inconsistent. He created only 15 chances for teammates in the league so far and was benched during Milan's recent goalless match against Genoa. Despite this, he leads Milan defenders with 56 attacking sequence involvements.

Although his contract runs until 2026, there have been rumours about his uncertain future at San Siro. Quilon visited Casa Milan on Monday and clarified that Hernandez is eager to negotiate a new contract with the club. "We did not talk about a contract renewal, but about fiscal matters," said Quilon.
Quilon emphasized that Hernandez's intention is clear: he wants to remain at Milan and sign a new deal. "The intention is very clear, which is for him to remain and sign a new deal. We have said it many times," Quilon reiterated. This statement aims to dispel any doubts regarding Hernandez's commitment to the team.
Fonseca's decision to bench Hernandez isn't new this season. Quilon expressed respect for the coach's choices, acknowledging that such decisions are beyond the player's control. "These are not decisions that are down to the player," Quilon explained.
Quilon also mentioned similar situations involving other players like Rafael Leao. He stressed the importance of respecting coaching decisions as part of team dynamics. "He respects his teammates and when one player is on the field, the other inevitably isn't," added Quilon.
The ongoing discussions highlight both Hernandez's desire to continue with Milan and the club's interest in retaining him despite recent performance issues under Fonseca’s management.
