Bengaluru, December 5: Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has warned rivals that his side are peaking at the ideal time, prior to much awaited Manchester derby this weekend.

United still trail eight points to Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table and the first and second place fight at Old Trafford this weekend as of now looks crucial to United's title hope.

United will go into the derby at Old Trafford in great form having won their last four matches in the league, including an exciting 3-1 victory against top-four rivals Arsenal on Saturday.

And now United midfielder, Herrera in a recent interview has claimed that he believes his team is very nearly on their way to something extraordinary after the important victory at the Emirates and are now peaking exactly at the ideal time before their match against Pep Guardiola's side.

"We are second and chasing to be top of the table", the 28-year-old told the club's official website.

"It was a fantastic result [at Arsenal] with some great performances. David [De Gea] was amazing, and we were clinical in the first half, with two chances in the first 15 minutes and two goals.

"Then of course Arsenal have a lot of quality and they were going to create chances, but for the two or three big ones they had, David was there so we're very happy.

"Jesse [Lingard] is on fire now, Paul [Pogba] as well, it's a pity he got a red card.

"Romelu [Lukaku] didn't score but he helped us a lot. The centre-backs - Victor [Lindelof] is in fantastic form right now. So we are optimistic of course."

Before the derby, United will be up in action in the midweek encounter in Champions League with CSKA Moscow on Tuesday. Although Jose Mourinho's side are currently at the top of the group table still they need a point to be sure of finishing top of Group A.
