Ruben Amorim has officially begun his managerial journey at Manchester United, hitting the training ground for the first time as he prepares for his debut match against Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday (November 24).
The 39-year-old Portuguese tactician had to wait nearly a week to obtain the necessary work permit before stepping into his new role at Old Trafford.

Amorim was appointed as United's head coach following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, who was relieved of his duties after a rocky start to the season, compounded by a shocking loss to a struggling West Ham side.
Ten Hag, who delivered an FA Cup and EFL Cup during his tenure, ultimately failed to meet expectations in his third season at the helm.
The decision to bring in Amorim signals a fresh start for United. Amorim made waves at Sporting CP, where he led the team to back-to-back Portuguese league titles, ending Benfica's long-standing dominance.
Sporting continued their impressive form this season under Amorim's stewardship, and many believe he could have secured a third consecutive title had he stayed.
However, the appeal of managing a club with the stature and history of Manchester United proved too tempting for Amorim to resist. Reports suggest financial incentives also played a role in his decision to leave Sporting mid-season.
Amorim's move to Old Trafford comes with a significant financial boost. The Portuguese coach is reportedly set to earn a salary of €8 million (£6.7 million) annually, more than triple his previous earnings at Sporting, where he earned just under €3 million (£2.5 million) per year.
The two-and-a-half-year contract reflects Manchester United's commitment to giving Amorim time to implement his vision and rebuild the team. While his salary is substantial, it remains slightly below the £9 million-a-year contract Erik ten Hag commanded during his tenure.
Amorim's first challenge as Manchester United manager will be an away clash against Ipswich Town on November 24. Following the Ipswich game, Amorim faces consecutive home matches against Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League and Everton in the Premier League.
