Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brentford for the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo in a deal worth up to £71 million.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international, who recorded a career-best 20 goals and eight assists in last season's Premier League campaign, is set to become United's third signing of the summer under manager Ruben Amorim.

After weeks of negotiations, United's successful bid includes an initial £65 million, to be paid in four instalments, with up to £6 million in performance-related add-ons. This transfer fee makes Mbeumo Brentford's most lucrative sale in their history and represents a key move in United's effort to rebuild after a disappointing last season.
Mbeumo's arrival follows the signings of Matheus Cunha and teenage defender Diego Leon. The winger made it clear early in the process that Old Trafford was his preferred destination, despite interest from the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle United. United's initial offers were rejected, but their improved third bid met Brentford's valuation, especially after the club previously secured Cunha for £62.5 million.
United are hopeful that Mbeumo will undergo a medical in the coming days and join the squad for their upcoming pre-season tour in the United States. At Brentford, Mbeumo developed from an academy prospect to a talisman, making 242 appearances with 70 goals and 51 assists in all competitions since his arrival in 2019.
Bryan Mbeumo will earn around £150,000 per week at Manchester United, which is significantly less than the £250,000 a week figure that was previously rumored. This puts his salary on par with United's other recent high-profile signing, Matheus Cunha.
He was earning around £45,000 at Brentford, which means the player will have a salary hike of around three times at his new club.
