How much will England players get paid to feature at Euro 2024?

As Euro 2024 approaches, the England football team are gearing up to end their long-standing trophy drought.

Despite coming close in Euro 2020, where they were narrowly defeated by Italy in the final at Wembley, Gareth Southgate's squad is a strong challenger for the trophy. With their impressive form, England are once again expected to make a deep run in the tournament.

While the squad will be motivated to clinch the trophy, there are also financial gains associated with their advancement. Usually, modern English footballers earn substantial salaries from their clubs.

The current England squad boasts some of the best talents in international football, including high-profile players like Harry Kane, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka etc. These players not only bring quality and experience but also significant earning power from their club contracts.

However, their earnings from national team appearances are relatively mediocre. According to Wales Online, England players receive approximately £2,000 per game.

But beyond these match fees, there is also a bonus system in place, potentially providing additional financial incentives depending on the team's performance in the tournament.

The English FA structures these bonuses, which vary by country and tournament progression. But the squad has donated all these amounts to the England Football Foundation since 2007.

England fans are now eager to know about their potential 26-man squad ahead of the tournament, Head coach Gareth Southgate so far has named a 33-man squad but by the end of the weekend, he will need to trim down seven more players.

England are positioned in Group C in Euro 2024 which consists of Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia. They will start their journey with the match against Serbia on 16th June.
