Salman falls short of 'Kick', Hrithik to replace him as FC Pune City co-owner

Panaji, Oct 9: The Indian Super League (ISL) football tournament, which kicks off on Oct 12 is already witnessing some changes in terms of ownership of teams.

Bollywood actors are a major part of the ISL as some of them co-own the teams. However a report in TOI suggests that actor Salman Khan, who co-owns the FC Pune City is likely to step down. His replacement is none other than Hrithik Roshan.

Salman co-owns the Pune franchise along with Wadhawan Group, which has diverse business interests. However the actor is unable to devote time to promote the team unlike his counterparts Abhishek Bachchan (Chennai), John Abraham (Guwahati) and Ranbir Kapoor (Mumbai).

FC Pune City has now closed in on Hrithik Roshan and an agreement will be signed on Thursday.

ISL aims to ignite the footbal magic in the country and aims to be a big boost for the domectic football scene in the country, which took a backseat in the early 1960s.
