Tim Walter expressed pride in Hull City's performance after they secured a 3-1 victory over Stoke City, marking his first win as their manager. Despite trailing 1-0 at half-time due to Ben Wilmot's goal, Hull rallied in the second half. Kasey Palmer missed a penalty but scored on the rebound, followed by goals from Regan Slater and an own goal by Wilmot, sealing the win.
This victory lifted Hull from 19th to 13th in the Championship standings, surpassing Stoke. Walter felt this win was overdue, stating, "It's hard to describe because I never had this feeling before. I've never not had a win in five games, so for me, it's a new situation." He praised his team for their belief and bravery after conceding the initial goal.

"Today we did it and that's the reason I'm really proud of my boys," Walter continued. "They deserved to win. I'm happy because they always believed they can win and that's important. After conceding the goal, we were better. We were more courageous. We showed more bravery and that's the key to the result."
Narcis Pelach took charge of Stoke City after Steven Schumacher's unexpected dismissal earlier this week. Under Schumacher's leadership, Stoke had won two out of five matches this season. In their match against Hull, Stoke managed 14 shots but only two were on target during the first half.
Despite starting with a loss, Pelach remains optimistic about his team's future. "It's a pity we couldn't win the game," he told BBC Radio Stoke. "We wanted to take the points, but I think the lads tried to put a new style of play in place." He acknowledged that they lost control and energy in the second half.
Pelach plans to address these issues with his squad soon. "We should have pressed more," he admitted. "But we will try to explain this tomorrow and keep working on the defensive style." He is focused on improving both mentally and tactically while maintaining a positive outlook.
