Hyderabad FC vs Chennaiyin FC Live Streaming, Durand Cup 2023: Chennaiyin FC will start their 2023-24 season as they take on Hyderabad FC in their first Group E game of the 132nd IndianOil Durand Cup 2023 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Thursday.

The match will be the first of double-header on the day as Punjab FC will take on Bangladesh Army later in the evening at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan or the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. This game is also the first southern derby of the season as there will be few more coming later in Durand Cup 2023.

While Chennaiyin will start their season, Hyderabad FC already opened the season as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Delhi FC earlier. The result also means the Nizams won't be satisfied with anything less than a win. A point or none from the game would make the climb to the knockout stages steeper as only one club will directly qualify for the quarterfinals.

An alternate qualification route to the next stage is finishing among the top two losers among other teams, which means the number of points earned will play a big role in deciding that. Hyderabad FC, who have started a new era under Conor Nestor after the successful tenure of Manolo Marquez, have lost key players ahead of the new season.

Javier Siverio, Akash Mishra, Borja Herrera were among the key departures while Jonathan Moya, Petteri Pennanen, and Joe Knowles joined in as reinforcements. Makan Winkle Chhote is seen among future prospects among uncapped Indian names while Nikhil Poojary, Chingalensana Singh, Hitesh Sharma, Sahil Tavora are the core members of the squad.
