Hyderabad FC vs Mohun Bagan, ISL 2023-24: Defending champions Mohun Bagan Super Giants will return to domestic football after a gap of a month and they travel to Bhubaneswar to face Hyderabad FC at the Kalinga Stadium on Saturday (December) at 8:00 PM IST.
Mohun Bagan just had a disappointing outing in the AFC Cup as they lost back-to-back matches to Basundhara Kings and Odisha FC to find themselves in a precarious situation in the group stages. That thought won't worry them on Saturday as they will resume their unbeaten run in the ISL 2023-24 season.

Location: Bhubaneswar
Stadium: Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar
Date: December 2, 2023
Kick-off: 8:00 PM IST
This will be the 11th encounter between the two sides in the Indian Super League and will be a rematch of the semifinals from last season, which saw Mohun Bagan triumph on penalties after both the legs of the semifinals ended a stalemate. In the league stages, there was dearth of goals as both teams won their home matches 1-0.
The two teams also squared off in the semis in the season before, which saw Hyderabad claim bragging rights with a 3-2 win after crucially winning the home leg 3-1. It was also the first occasion when a team scored three goals in a match between the two opponents
Matches Played 10
Mohun Bagan Win: 4
Hyderabad FC Wins: 2
Draws: 4
Mohun Bagan are considered the firm favourites to win the game despite two consecutive losses, thanks to the quality and squad depth; making them one of the most feared teams in the ISL 2023-24 season. The long gap from domestic football, coupled with Asian commitments and FIFA breaks, left Mohun Bagan third in the table despite being the only team to win all of their matches this season.
They are on 12 points behind table toppers Kerala Blasters (17 points) and FC Goa (16), who have played four and two matches more respectively than the reigning ISL champions.
Hyderabad FC, at the same time, are having a season to forget as they have just three points in seven games with four losses and three draws while victory has eluded them so far. Nizams and ISL debutants Punjab FC are the only top-tier clubs to win a game this season.
