India drops 2 spots in FIFA rankings

New Delhi, Jun 4: India has dropped two places to the 153rd spot in the latest rankings released today by world football's governing body FIFA.

India, who have lost four points since last month, now have 136 points in their kitty. They are joined at the 153rd position by Tajikistan and Luxembourg. Among Asian countries, India holds the 26th place along with Tajikistan. South American champions Argentina are still top of the rankings following three wins in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Brazil are second and Italy third with Spain at 4th spot. England, who have failed to qualify for the upcoming Euro 2008, moved up two places to fifth.
