Substitute Jeje Lalpekhlua increased the lead just after half-time with a calm and composed finish and Sandesh Jhingan increased the lead within a few minutes from a wonderful.

The hosts pulled one back thanks to a wonderful goal from Chan Vathanka, who dribbled past the Indian defenders and scored with low long range shot.

Stephen Constantine fielded in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Robin Singh upfront as the lone striker. Sunil Chhetri, David Lalhimpuia and CK Vineeth were deployed behind Robin Singh. Eugeneson Lyngdoh and Rowlinson Rodriguez in the central midfield.

Anas Edathodika partnered Arnab Mondal in the central defence, and Pritam Kotal and Fulganzo Cardozo were put on the full-back position.

India were not looking comfortable with the ball from the very beginning predominantly due to the artificial turf which troubling the visitors.

After watching Vineeth's dismal show on the flank, Constantine brought in Jackichand Singh in the 33rd minute and soon the first goal was scored.

Arnab Mondal was replaced by Sandesh Jhingan in the second half and Jeje Lapekhlua was brought in place of David.

The two changes did wonders as they both netted two more goals within 54 minutes. Jhingan's presence in the backline added more solidity to the Indian defence.

Cambodia, who are ranked 173rd in the FIFA rankings 41 places behind India, put up a brilliant show and could have even won if they would have been a little more clinical.

India's performance, on the other hand, will surely raise a few eyebrows as they gear to compete in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. They take on Myanmar in the first match on March 28.
