"I don't want to get into trouble for talking about what happened before the game, especially after playing a (tough) game like this. Whatever happened before the game is behind us now, we are only thinking about today's win and the next match." - Sunil Chhetri tells Sony Sports Network

A look at the points table after India's win. A word from Sunil Chhetri coming up next as he speaks to the official broadcasters Sony Sports Network after the game!

It's Sunil Chhetri's late goal from the spot which puts India back in the reckoning for the knockout stages! India climbed to the third spot with the win with first-placed China facing second-placed Myanmar later this evening!

The referee blows the final whistle and India win 1-0!
90+4' Nunga takes the ball out for a throw deep in the Indian half! Bangladesh are likely to take that long as Rahmat Mia takes it with Bangladesh players inside the box!

84' Bangladesh players fiercely complain against the decision with Mujibur Rahman the most animated among the lot and is soon shown a yellow by the referee. Sunil Chhetri to take the penalty!

83' Bryce Miranda is fouled inside the box by Bangladesh captain Rahmat Mia, who mistimed his tackle with a high boot as Bryce got into a dangerous position!
80' Bangladesh are sensing the chance to score there as Mujibur Rahman is influencing the attack through space on the left flank! All Bangladesh are lacking is that telling pass into the box! A situation prevelant throughout the game
77' DHEERAJ AVERTS THE DANGER! What a save by the former U-17 World Cup player as he came off his line to block a shot by Mujibur Rahman Johnny, who made an overlapping run into the box to reach a through ball!

73' Bangladesh have won two corners in the last few minutes as they are going for the goal through set pieces in what has been a physical game so far! The quality of the set pieces, however, haven't really bothered Dheeraj so far.

70' Nunga and Murad get into an argument following a one-on-one for the ball near the touchline! Murad falls on the ground in an exaggerated reaction following a light shoulder pusth by Nunga! Bangladesh players asked for a card but the referee wasn't bothered by what happened. Meanwhile, Bangladesh coach Javi Cabrera makes a change, sends in Rafiqul Islam for Suman Raza on the wing!

57' Another mistake by the Indian defense! This time Sandesh Jhingan slips while shadowing Suman Raza on the left flank! The error allows Suman to enter the box but Nunga was quick to cover for Jhingan there as he takes the ball out of play for a corner!

50' A change in defense-to-attack transition for India as they catch Bangladesh on the break as Rahul KP is played free on the right flank! The wide forward delivers an early cross for Sunil Chhetri but goalkeeper Mitul read the cross well and came off his line to collect it!
47' Early chance for India goes begging! Bryce Miranda the creative outlet yet again as he fires in a cross from the left! Running in the middle, Rahul misses the trajectory of the cross and heads it to Abdul Rabeeh at the edge of the box, who agonisingly fires it off target!
46' The second half gets underway with no changes on either side! India start the half by winning a throw-in

Players are back on the field and Indian players having a quick last-minute hurdles as the action is all set to resume after the break!
What an entertaining end to the first half and was also the best moment of the game as Indian forward line got going late. Bangladesh backline finally committed an error as Bryce's cross from the left was poorly cleared by goalkeeper Mitul. He, however, quickly redeemed himself by blocking three shots on the go to keep the scoreline unchanged!
Last ditch defending and heroic goalkeeping saw Bangladesh survive a flurry of attempts right at the end of the first 45. All square as the teams head inside.

Indian men's football team will look to find their place in the Asian Games 2023 as they take on Bangladesh in their second group match in Hangzhou on Thursday (September 21).
Igor Stimac-coach India were humbled in their opening game 5-1 by hosts China after the coach admitted that he didn't get his best players for the Asian Games 2023. To make it worse, the U-23 squad, which included two senior players Sunil Chhetri and Sandesh Jhingan, went into the game without any practice sessions.
However, the damage was done back at home when All India Football Federation's new management failed at their first major hurdle with top-tier Indian clubs refusing to release many of their key players. Now a victory against a tricky Bangladesh is crucial if Chhetri and boys wish to have a shot at a medal.
There is an alternate route to qualification in case India get an unfavourable result from the game and fail to finish among the top two in the group as four third-placed teams will also find a spot in the round of 16. However, conceding 5 goals in the first game meant India haven't done themselves any favour.
India have strengthened their backline for the game as centre-back Chinglensana Singh is finally available for selection after missing out the first game due to a visa delay. Goals are also the need of the hour as Sunil Chhetri fired blank in the last game while playing with many of his new teammates for the first time.
Rahul KP scored the sole consolation goal from the last game in rare well-constructed offense from the Blue Tigers, who were mostly playing with their back at the goal with China keeping a lion share of possession.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, also began their campaign on a losing note as they lost by a narrow margin of 1-0 to Myanmmar.
