Indian players are enjoying the appreciation coming from the fans, who are not letting down the steam of their celebrations!
The podium is being set in the middle of the ground for presentation ceremony as West Block stands chants name of all Indian players one after another to celebrate another title triumph!

What a scene at the Kanteerava Stadium as 26,000-plus crowd sings 'Maa Tujhe Salam' in unison! I could feel goosebumps as a proud Indian!

Coach Igor Stimac celebrates with AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey amid electrifying scenes at the Stadium!

What an acrobatic effort by Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, who proves once again why he is India's number 1 shotstopper!

Gurpreet Singh dives to his left to save! India are the SAFF Champion!
Noarem Mahesh Singh converts it as well! Kuwait must convert or else India win!
Al Khaldi makes no mistake in making it 4-4
Subhasish Bose fires it in to put India ahead again!
Mahran levels the score at 3-3 with a soft penalty!
Udanta Singh fires it wide off the post!
Al Dhefeery converts to keep Kuwait in the game
Lallinzuala Chhangte fires it in the top corner as well!
Al-Otaibi sends Gurpreet the wrong way to make it 2-1!
Sandesh Jhigan buries the ball into the right top corner to make it 2-0!
Gurpreet Singh dives to his right to block Abdullah's attempt! India lead!
Sunil Chhetri sends the goalkeeper the wrong way and lobs the ball into the net! Mohammad Abdullah will take Kuwait's first penalty against Gurpreet!

India will take the first penalty as Kuwait won the toss and chose the end with less fans at the back!

Some stats there as both sides fought tooth and nail. India, of course, had the best of chances!
The referee blows the short whistle as the match heads into the penalty shootout!
The referee adds two minutes of stoppage time as the match is in the dying minutes before the penalty shootout!
Poojary finally breaks free on the right flank following a build and bit of a luck and fires in a cross for Chhangte at far post! The winger hit the ball on his second touch on the volley with his weaker foot as the effort sailed over the bar!
India continue to push for a goal while Kuwait are sitting deep in their half, not allowing Indian forwards any space to run into!
Forced substitution for India as Akash Mishra is unable to continue and is replaced by fellow left back Subhashish Bose.

India are playing with 10 men at the moment as Akash Mishra is recieving treatment following a collision with Al Fahad. India are still dominating play as most of the action is in Kuwait's half!
The second half of extra time gets underway and Kuwait spring into action from the word go! Al-Otaibi fires from the left of the box for Gurpreet Singh to make another save!
Mohammad Abdullah runs down the right flank and fires a shot from outside the box! The ball went straight to Gurpreet, who collected it at second attempt after fumbling. The referee ends the first half of exta time!

Seems like Kuwait are more eager to take the game into the penalties as lot of their players are going down claiming cramps. Indian players, on the other hand, are not tired yet.
CLOSE! Udanta Singh found space inside the box to run into following a smartly taken indirect freekick but the Kuwait defense made a diving interception to take the ball out of play!
India will be without their leader for the match as coach Igor Stimac is serving the last of his two-match suspension after he saw his consecutive red cards in the SAFF Championship 2023 last group against the same rivals in an ill-tempered affair that ended 1-1.
Stimac, who saw a red against Pakistan as well, wasn't the only one to be given marching orders as Indian striker Rahim Ali and rival Hamad Al-Qallaf had to leave the match early following a scuffle.
Following the match, both sides had to fight hard to book their final spot as India defeated familiar rival Lebanon in a penalty shootout in the second semifinal on July 1 while Kuwait defeated Bangladesh following a solitary goal by defender Abdullah Al-Bloushi in the extra time.
Earlier in the group stages, both Kuwait and India, clubbed in Group A, confirmed their semifinal participation by defeating Nepal and Pakistan before the eventual finalists faced off. India defeated Pakistan 4-0 in a rain-soaked affair with Sunil Chhetri scoring a hattrick before Udanta Singh squared off the result.
India next defeated Nepal 2-0 with Sunil Chhetri finding the net again while Naorem Mahesh Singh scored his maiden international goal after setting up Chhetri for the opening goal. Chhetri scored his fifth goal of the tournament against Kuwait too through a brilliant volley as India dominated the game for the majority of the 90 minutes.
However, the match turned physical in the last 10 minutes as Indian defence lost its focus and was followed by an own goal by Anwar Ali in the injury time. Kuwait, however, are still a worthy rival as they scored two different line-ups in dominating wins over Nepal (3-1) and Pakistan (4-0) before a close affair with India.
