India vs Lebanon Live streaming, King's Cup 2023: The Indian football team will continue their preparations for next year's AFC Asian Cup as they take on Lebanon at the King's Cup 2023 third-place match at the 700th Anniversary Stadium in Chiang Mai (Thailand) on Sunday, September 10.

Playing without Sunil Chhetri, who has been rested for King's Cup 2023, the side scored two goals in a draw against World No. 70 Iraq, before losing out on penalties at the same venue.

The result was yet seen as a morale booster as India led the game twice with Naorem Mahesh Singh scoring the opener while Akash Mishra's cross was embarrassedly fumbled into the goal by Iraq goalkeeper Jalal Hassan.

Iraq returned to the game controversially both occasions with Ali Al-Hamadi and Aymen Hussein equalising from the penalty spot. Aymen's 80th-minute equaliser in particular left a bitter taste in the mouth of the Indians as the Iraq player went down with little contact.

India head coach Igor Stimac made strong remarks on the referee's decisions after the game as the Croat felt his players fought bravely against a higher-ranked outfit before the match officials "robbed" them of a great win.

The result, however, India's unbeaten run this year as Brandon Fernandes's opening miss in the tie-breaker decided the fate of the game as the Indian midfielder hit the crossbar. On the downside, India's No. 1 goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu failed to block a single penalty out of the seven taken by Iraqis on the evening.

Lebanon, on the other hand, lost 2-1 to hosts Thailand in the second semifinal as star striker Teerasil Dangda hit a late winner as Thai-Norweigan defender Mickelson set him up with a pinpoint cross. The Arab side is also a known opponent to India, who defeated them twice this year already in knockout games while playing a draw during the Intercontinental Cup followed by the SAFF Championship in India.
