After suffering for the first 20 minutes of the game, which also saw Blue Tigers concede as early as the fourth minute, Sunil Chhetri and Co. exerted themselves on the Asian Champions as Indians worked as a unit to open up chances against a physical and robust defense.

India had two clean chances to equalise through Anirudh Thapa and Apuia but both the midfielders showed why they are not for forwards in the Indian team as the attempts went off target.

To the credit of the Indians, they ended the half dominating the game, allowing Qataris no chances to score in the last 15 minutes and will look to do more of that in the second half! IND 0-1 QAT

The referee blows the final whistle with India's last attack of the half sees Chhetri being caught offside while chasing a long ball into the box! What a show it has been by the Indians, who didn't allow Qatar to attack in the last 15 minutes while kept pushing for an equaliser.

It's the lack of quality in the final third that has let the Indians down as we head into the break with Qatar narrowly leading 1-0!
