14' The Indian goalkeeper is forced into a double save and the first one was crucial as Nilufar Kudratova made the most of the error committed by Astam Oraon, who failed to clear a through ball from the midfield. Thomas Dennerby and his side have used a defensive formation of 5 defenders at the back but have been given a harsh reality by their higher-ranked opponents, who have been too fast and skillful. Indian players did have a preparatory camp in Saudi Arabia but lack of game time overall has been a concern.
Prior to the qualifiers, the women's team lost all their matches in the Asian Games 2023 and were expected too weak for Japan's football team, who scored six goals in the second half after Indian defense managed to hold them to a 1-0 goal difference in the first half. The match starts at 5:30 PM IST and will be streaming Live on the Uzbekistan football team's official YouTube and Facebook pages.
