Simone Inzaghi expressed satisfaction with Inter's performance in the second half against Napoli, although he felt they deserved a win in their 1-1 draw. Hakan Calhanoglu's remarkable goal equalised Scott McTominay's opener for Napoli. However, Calhanoglu missed a penalty for the first time in eight years, having previously converted 17 consecutive penalties in Serie A.
Inzaghi praised his team, stating that if any side deserved victory, it was Inter. He noted their dominance in the second half, telling DAZN that they maintained composure after conceding from a set play and limited Napoli's chances. Despite hitting the woodwork twice and missing a penalty, Inzaghi felt Inter couldn't have done much more.

The attacking pair of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram were mostly subdued during the match. Martinez attempted two shots with an expected goals (xG) value of 0.24 but failed to hit the target. Thuram did not manage any attempts on goal. Nevertheless, Inzaghi was pleased with their efforts.
Inzaghi acknowledged the hard work of Martinez and Thuram, saying they contributed to the team's stability. "They worked hard for the team and kept us solid," he said. As a coach, he prioritises performance over results, especially against strong opponents like Napoli.
With nearly one-third of the Serie A season completed, the title race is highly competitive. Napoli leads with 26 points, while Atalanta, Fiorentina, Inter, and Lazio are close behind with 25 points each. Inzaghi remarked on the balanced nature of this season's campaign.
"I said this would be a very balanced campaign and that is proving to be true," Inzaghi commented. He appreciated Inter's performance despite missing opportunities and acknowledged Napoli's strength as an opponent.
