Inter Milan's manager, Simone Inzaghi, has expressed the team's determination to compete for trophies across all competitions this season. Currently, Inter are second in Serie A, trailing Napoli by two points. A victory against Genoa on Saturday would temporarily place them at the top, as Napoli play on Sunday. Inter's confidence is bolstered by their impressive record against Genoa, having won their last 10 home matches with a combined score of 27-2.
Inzaghi's squad is also advancing in other tournaments. They have reached the Coppa Italia quarter-finals and will face Lazio next Tuesday. Additionally, they are in the Champions League last 16, where they will meet Feyenoord. Feyenoord previously eliminated AC Milan in the play-offs. Despite recent league setbacks, Inter remain favourites to retain the Scudetto, with a 53.9% chance according to Opta's supercomputer.

The Nerazzurri have won their last three home games in Serie A but have experienced two defeats in their recent three league outings. These losses match their total defeats over the previous 54 matches. Inzaghi remains optimistic about winning more titles this season and emphasised their commitment to fighting on all fronts: "That [winning trophies] is the wish," he stated.
Inter will soon face Napoli on March 1 in a match considered crucial for the title race. Their previous encounter ended in a 1-1 draw last November. However, Inzaghi believes it is too early to call this match decisive for the championship: "It will be a very important match, but talking about a decisive challenge is premature," he remarked.
Yann Sommer recently suffered a fractured thumb during training and underwent successful surgery. The goalkeeper is expected to be sidelined for about a month, with Josep Martinez stepping in as his replacement against Genoa. Meanwhile, Inzaghi highlighted that other teams like Atalanta are gaining momentum due to winter transfers.
Inzaghi stressed that while the upcoming match against Napoli holds significant weight for both teams, it should not be seen solely as a battle between coaches: "It will certainly count a lot for both teams," he said, adding that it's important not to overlook other contenders who are catching up.
Inter Milan continues to aim high this season despite not leading Serie A currently. They are determined to maintain their competitive edge across all competitions and strive for success until the end of the season.
