Simone Inzaghi remains cautious about Inter's upcoming Champions League clash with Feyenoord, despite holding a 2-0 lead. Goals from Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez at De Kuip have given the Nerazzurri an advantage. However, Inzaghi warns that the second leg will not be straightforward.
Inter had opportunities to extend their lead further but were thwarted by Timon Wellenreuther, who saved Piotr Zielinski's penalty. The Serie A leaders have been defensively solid, conceding just one goal in nine Champions League games this season. Inzaghi praised his team's performance and attitude in Rotterdam.

The coach highlighted the contributions of players like Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni, and Yann Bisseck on the wings. He noted their availability and effort during the match. "It wasn't a simple game and the second leg won't be either," Inzaghi stated, acknowledging the challenge ahead.
Inzaghi also commended stand-in goalkeeper Josep Martinez for his recent performances. With Yann Sommer out due to a fractured thumb sustained against Juventus, Martinez has stepped up admirably. His calmness and adaptability have impressed Inzaghi, creating a selection dilemma when Sommer returns.
"Martinez showed his qualities [against Feyenoord], which no-one had any doubts about," Inzaghi said. "He was very good at staying calm and adapting well." The coach appreciates having two capable goalkeepers but will make a decision calmly when Sommer is fit again.
Inzaghi expressed satisfaction with all his players' efforts, including Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic who contributed positively after coming on as substitutes. The team is focused on maintaining their lead in the return leg at San Siro next week.
The Nerazzurri are determined to secure their place in the next round of the competition. With strong performances across the board, they aim to build on their first-leg success against Feyenoord when they meet again at San Siro.
