Inter Kashi prepare for ISL with Transfer Ban, Staff in Dark over Pending Salary Issues | Exclusive

Inter Kashi have secured their place in the 2026-27 Indian Super League after paying the required participation fee, but questions over the club's financial situation continue to linger ahead of the new season.

There are a number of staff at the club who have not received their salaries for the last few months, and they are yet to get any clarity regarding that.

Inter Kashi prepare for ISL with Transfer Ban Staff in Dark over Pending Salary Issues Exclusive

MyKhel understands former staff members and players associated with Inter Kashi are still awaiting outstanding payments, with some dues reportedly dating back to the club's I-League-winning campaign.

"We are in a confused state. Staff haven't got their salaries for the last 2-3 months, and there is no response from the club. There's no clarity at all regarding the pending dues," a source told MyKhel on condition of anonymity.

Inter Kashi already have Transfer Ban

Among those affected are foreign players who were part of the squad during their title-winning season and are understood to have not received their full salaries since the I-League (now Indian Football League) days.

The foreign players lodged a complaint with FIFA, and that has already resulted in a transfer ban for Kashi. The situation has added to the uncertainty surrounding Inter Kashi's preparations for their second ISL campaign. The club has already faced a transfer ban linked to outstanding financial obligations and, as of now, has not completed a foreign signing for the upcoming season.

Inter Kashi were among the clubs that initially sought additional time to meet the ISL participation requirements. They subsequently made the payment and will feature in the 2026-27 campaign, which is scheduled to begin in October.

However, the club's immediate priority appears to extend beyond simply securing its place in the league. Inter Kashi are understood to be actively looking for a sponsor as they attempt to strengthen their financial position before the season gets underway.

MyKhel approached Inter Kashi for clarity, but the queries remained unanswered at the time of publication.
