Simone Inzaghi Expects Strong Arsenal Reaction Following Newcastle Defeat

Inter manager Simone Inzaghi anticipates a challenging match against Arsenal in the Champions League at San Siro. Historically, these teams met during the 2003-04 Champions League season, with each securing an away victory—Arsenal winning 5-1 at San Siro and Inter triumphing 3-0 in London.

Inter's recent form has been impressive since their Derby della Madonnina loss to Milan in September. They have won seven of their last eight matches across all competitions. This strong run has kept them competitive both domestically and in Europe.

Arsenal have struggled to score in Italy during recent Champions League outings. Their last goal there was by Emmanuel Adebayor against Milan in March 2008. Despite this challenge, Inzaghi plans for his team to maintain possession against Arsenal to stay unbeaten.

Inzaghi highlighted Arsenal's distinct playing style: "If you see Arsenal among 100 teams, without knowing the name, you recognise them." He acknowledged their offensive pressure but stressed that possession would be crucial for Inter.
