Simone Inzaghi remains calm despite Inter's 3-0 loss to Fiorentina in Serie A on Thursday. The match, initially halted on December 1 due to Edoardo Bove's collapse, resumed with a 0-0 scoreline in the 17th minute. Luca Ranieri and Moise Kean's goals secured Fiorentina's victory. This marks Inter's first three-goal defeat without scoring since December 2016 against Napoli.
Inter's recent form shows inconsistency, with three losses in their last 15 matches across all competitions (10 wins, 2 draws). This is as many defeats as they had in the previous 45 games (32 wins, 10 draws). Despite this setback, Inzaghi believes it's too early to worry about league standings.

The defeat was unexpected given Fiorentina's challenges. Six players from the original fixture have departed, and Serie A rules prevented them from using new signings. Yet, they displayed greater aggression and deserved the win. "We found a team in emergency tonight with more aggression that deserved to win tonight," Inzaghi noted.
Inzaghi acknowledged Fiorentina's performance but stressed that now is not the time for panic. "Congratulations to Fiorentina. It's a deserved defeat," he told DAZN. He admitted Inter lacked their usual intensity and determination on the field.
Inter could have topped the standings with a win but now trail Napoli by three points. However, Inzaghi remains optimistic with 15 games left in the season. He emphasised that focusing on work rather than standings is crucial at this stage.
The Nerazzurri will face Fiorentina again on Monday at San Siro. Inzaghi has three and a half days to prepare his team for this rematch. He believes only hard work can help them overcome their current situation.
"Now we will have three and a half days before meeting Fiorentina again," Inzaghi stated. He highlighted the need for improvement in running, aggression, and determination, which were lacking in their recent performance.
This loss also marks the first time since May last year that Inzaghi’s side failed to score in a league game. Despite these setbacks, Inzaghi maintains that making calculations based on current standings is premature.
