Ipswich are all set to return to the top tier of English football for the first time since 2002 as they will lock horns with Liverpool under their new boss Arne Slot in Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League.
Ipswich secured the automatic qualification from the Championship last season after beating Huddersfield Town on the final day of the season. Ipswich Town secured a win in their previous game against Huddersfield Town by 2-0 with Wes Burns and Omari Hutchinson scoring one goal each.

Hutchinson joined Ipswich from Chelsea permanently in July on the back of a promising show, netting 10 goals and assisting on six occasions in last season’s Championship. They also bagged the services of Championship top-scorer Sammie Szmodics, who scored 27 goals last season.
On the other hand, Liverpool's new boss Arne Slot would be happy with how the proceedings are going as the side has been unbeaten in their five friendly encounters under him. Having lost in the title race last season, it would be a stiff challenge for the side from Manchester City and Arsenal.
They bagged a 2-0 win in their previous encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers with Alexis Mac Allister and Jarell Quansah hitting the goals.
Ipswich's medical team is currently dealing with a few injuries. Harry Clarke is suffering from an Achilles injury, George Hirst with a knee injury, and Nathan Broadhead with a thigh injury. Meanwhile, Janoi Donacien is dealing with an adductor injury.
On the other hand, Liverpool has only one injury concern in Bobby Clark, who has been suffering from a back injury. Andrew Robertson made a comeback from his Euro 2024 injury, while Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold are set to be in the starting line-up.
