Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to pay Erling Haaland's mammoth €200 million release clause after offloading Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. in the summer.

The French giants are believed to be looking to revamp their squad after another early elimination from the Champions League this season. The Parisian club are thought to be looking to offload several of their key players including Lionel Messi and Neymar.

PSG are reportedly frustrated with Neymar's persistent injury problems during his time at the Parc des Princes. The Brazilian superstar has missed his team's last five games across competitions due to an ankle injury and is reportedly out for the season. He also sat out as PSG lost 2-0 to Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash and lost 3-0 on aggregate to the Bavarian giants.

Since his world-record move from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, Neymar has missed a total of 109 games due to injury problems with PSG now looking to move him. The Brazilian is contracted with the Ligue 1 side until 2025, which means PSG can hope to generate a good fee for the star. However, Lionel Messi looks pretty much destined to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer with his current deal set to expire this summer.

Erling Haaland has been on fire for Manchester City following his summer move from Borussia Dortmund last summer. The Norway international has scored 42 goals and provided 5 assists in 37 games across competitions this season. If PSG decide to sign the Norwegian triggering his release clause, he is set to become the most expensive departure from the Premier League as well as the second most expensive footballer in history behind Neymar.

It would be quite fascinating to see if Haaland and Mbappe join forces at PSG. The two players are regarded as two of the best players in the world despite their young age and will only grow as they gain more experience. Whether Haaland and Mbappe could take PSG to their desired Champions League remains to be seen.
