Punjab FC drew their second consecutive Indian Super League encounter, holding Jamshedpur FC to a goalless draw in a fourth round match contested at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.
Punjab FC Head Coach Staikos Vergetis made two changes to the starting lineup, replacing Krishnananda Singh and Mohammad Salah with Nikhil Prabhu and Nitesh Darjee. Jamshedpur FC Head Coach Scott Cooper deployed a 3-4-3 system, with rookie French attacker Steve Ambri spearheading the attack.

The home side started the first half putting pressure on PFC and appeared the more dynamic side moving forward with the home crowd behind them in the 'Furnace'. Steve Ambri, a rookie, and Rei Tachikawa keep the PFC defence on their toes. After a corner kick, Steve Ambri had the first meaningful chance to score, but his header was blocked.
Dimitrios Chatziisaias and Melroy Assisi, along with Nikhil Prabhu and Amarjit Singh Kiyam, absorbed all of the pressure from the Men of Steel. Juan Mera performed admirably as usual, but he was unable to create any clear-cut opportunities moving forward.
The JFC defence repelled shots from Madih Talal and Mera in the same counter-attacking motion. Both teams failed to produce clear chances, and the game ended goalless at the half.

PFC began the second half with more purpose, with Luka Majcen finding himself in space inside the box but failing to handle the ball for a shot. Subsequently, Juan Mera dribbled past multiple opponents but was unable to locate any of his teammates inside the box.
At the same time, the PFC defence was denying the home team's attacking players any space to generate chances. The substitutions were made by JFC gaffer at the hour mark.
Ravi Kumar was pushed into a spectacular stop by substitute Sanan Mohammed, and the PFC custodian was again called upon to make a save from Daniel Chima Chukwu. During the ensuing corner, the Nigerian once more forced Ravi Kuamr to make a stop.

On the opposite end, Ricky Lallawmawma's shot was feeble, and Khaimingthang Lhungdim was unable to capitalise on a mix-up between JFC custodian T.P. Rehenesh and Ricky Lallawmawma.
As the game began to open up and more opportunities began to present themselves for both sides, Chima Chukwu was once more in the thick of the action and he forced Ravi Kumar into two brilliant saves. Alen Stevanovic missed a great chance to put his team ahead in the game by chipping the ball over the crossbar, and Madih Talal's attempt narrowly missed the crossbar on the opposite end.
The home team had two chances to end the game, but Chima Chikwu missed both of them, preventing them from doing so. Both teams had to settle for one point each in the end. Awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding work between the posts was Punjab FC's Ravi Kumar.
Jamshedpur FC has five points from four matches, while Punjab FC has two points after four games. On October 29, at Chennai's Marina Arena Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Punjab FC will play host to Chennaiyin FC.
