Punjab FC, the side that finished in the bottom half of the table in ISL 2023-24, will take on Kerala Blasters in their opening clash in the ISL 2024-24 season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.
Punjab FC couldn't make a significant impact in their inaugural ISL season, winning only six games, losing 10, and drawing six contests in 22 games. They conceded 35 goals while they managed managed to score only 28.

Interestingly, Punjab FC managed to create an upset against Kerala Blasters last season, winning by 3-1 in Kochi. Their key challenge would be to improve their defense as they conceded too many goals in their debut season.
Though the team's entry into the ISL was a significant milestone, they have a challenging task ahead as they need to improve their tactics and compete more effectively in the ISL 2024-25 season.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi will be Punjab FC's home venue for the Indian Super League 2024-25 season.
