ISL 2026-27: FC Goa Score Stoppage-Time Equaliser to Hold Sporting Club Delhi at Fatorda

FC Goa scored deep into stoppage time to secure a 1-1 draw against Sporting Club Delhi in the MG Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 at the Fatorda Stadium on Wednesday, October 28.

Juan Pena's second-half goal appeared to have put Sporting Club Delhi on course for their first victory of the campaign. However, Álex Vallejo struck in the 90+5th minute to rescue a point for the hosts and deny the visitors a memorable win.

Both teams started aggressively, looking to exploit spaces in the opposition defence. FC Goa created the first significant opportunity in the eighth minute when Samsanga narrowly missed the target at the far post.

The forward found the net in the 19th minute after receiving a pass from Francisco Feuillassier, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Goa continued to threaten, with Muhammed Nemil firing over the crossbar in the 37th minute after controlling the ball well in the attacking third.

The hosts maintained their attacking momentum after the interval. Nemil set up Feuillassier inside the six-yard box, but goalkeeper Nora Fernandes made an important save to keep Delhi in the contest.

Sporting Club Delhi made the most of that opportunity in the 52nd minute. A quick counter-attack caught Goa off guard, with Rodrigunho setting up Pena, who finished confidently with his right foot to give the visitors the lead.

Goa pushed forward in search of an equaliser as the match approached its conclusion. Vallejo threatened in stoppage time, but an earlier opportunity failed to produce a goal.

The Spaniard eventually found the breakthrough in the fifth minute of added time. Feuillassier delivered a dangerous free-kick into the penalty area, and Vallejo timed his run perfectly to turn the ball past the goalkeeper.

The late equaliser ensured FC Goa avoided defeat at home, while Sporting Club Delhi were left disappointed after coming within seconds of securing their first win of the ISL 2026-27 season.
