And before face ATK, Edel Bete said: “Considering the current performance in the league, ATK has been the most consistent."

But he refused to agree with the notion that changing coach has made the team consistent.

Commenting on his experience of sharing dressing rooms in three different franchise clubs, Bete said: “Playing in Kolkata has been my best experience so far. I really miss the craziness of football loving people in the city.

"I do not get that much response from the common people, here in Pune. But while playing for ATK when sometimes I used to travel out somewhere out of the team hotel, people always came to me for autographs.

"Sometimes even they blamed my performance in case I had a poor show in any ATK match. But here in Pune I miss this natural response."

Antonio Lopez Habas, the Spanish coach was instrumental in bringing Bete to Kolkata side in the inaugural season of ISL.

But it was learnt that BÊte, upset with Habas for having dropped him in most of the ATK's matches in the opening year, had left ATK and joined Chennai side.

Bete speaking over phone from his team hotel in Pune on Friday said: “It was a rumour. If I was upset with Habas then I would not have joined FC Pune City this season as Habas is also the coach of Pune City."
