ISL final: Kerala Blasters Vs Atletico de Kolkata - Preview, team news and lineups

Atletico de Kolkata take on Kerala Blasters in the ISL 2016 final at Kochi on Sunday, December 18.

Kochi, Dec 17: The Indian Super League 2016 has reached its business end as the grand final is due to happen at Kochi on Sunday, December 18.

Sunday's final will be a repeat of the final of ISL 2014 as Atletico de Kolkata take on Kerala Blasters. Blasters have a chance to avenge their defeat and bag their maiden ISL title.

Atletico de Kolkata have always performed well against Kerala Blasters. The teams have met 7 times till date and Kolkata has won on 4 instances and Kerala have managed to win just once.

Only good news for Kerala fans is that their team are on a 6 match winning streak at home till now which is a really encouraging stat.

Team News

Jose Molina made 9 changes in the Kolkata's starting XI in the second semi-final against Mumbai City FC. The side did a fairly decent job as they had held Mumbai for a 0-0 draw to qualify for the finals.

Some key players like Iain Hume, Helder Postiga and Sameehg Doutie are likely to come back into starting line-up.

Defender Robert Lalthamuana who had picked up a red card in the semis will be replaced by Keegan Perreira.

Steve Coppell too made quite a few changes in Kerala's second semi-final against Delhi Dynamos. In-form striker Kervens Belfort did not start against Delhi but he is likely to come back in the starting XI
